BJI Fashion Group would like to extend a huge &#8220;Thank You&#8221; to all attendees, exhibitors and press. The momentum at AccessoriesTheShow and Moda Las Vegas grew as day three kicked off to a great start. The entire show story revolved around the high-level of traffic and abundance of order writing from our opening each morning until the close of business every day.</p>
<p>Retailers enjoyed the comfort and ease of the shows&#8217; layout making it a productive market week experience. The aisles filled with those searching for the latest trends in accessories and apparel to fill their stores for seasons ahead. Orders for all categories of accessories were written at AccessoriesTheShow to compliment the heavily shopped outerwear, fur and RTW on the Moda show floor. With an energetic and inspiring show environment, business was at an all time high here in Las Vegas.</p>

<p><strong>What is one of your key items for this upcoming Spring/Summer-Fall Preview 2012 season?</strong></p>
<p>This season is all about ease; simple carryalls (which we are currently introducing), one shouldered beach dresses, crinkled sheer cover-ups, woven fedoras and gauzy oversized wrappings.</p>
<p><strong>From where do you draw inspiration?</strong></p>
<p>Nature is always a big source of inspiration. Our &#8220;Super Nature&#8221; group exaggerates the beautiful designs and colors of nature. Our prints range from overblown pythons, magnified butterfly wings, and colorful spider webs to a kaleidoscope of bugs and a patchwork of flowers.</p>
<p><strong>How do you start the design process when creating a new collection?</strong></p>
<p>It&#8217;s an organic process and a combination of everything that&#8217;s going on in the world – in fashion, home design, art, theater, music, journalism and politics. Our creative team then sets the trends based on their gut instinct of what is right for the season.</p>
<p><strong>What do you think will draw retailers to your collection this upcoming season?</strong></p>
<p>Retailers know that they can always count on Echo for great color and pattern and this upcoming season is no exception. We think they will be particularly excited about our great line of scarves, wraps, swimwear, cover-ups, hats and totes that all merchandise well together in an exciting and modern way.</p>
<p><strong>If you could dress a celebrity who you feel fits your product image, who would it be and why?</strong></p>
<p>Rachel Weisz. She is beautiful and radiates an easy stylishness, but what makes her an Echo woman is that she is interesting. She is a woman of substance &#8211; intelligent, engaged, warm, and approachable with a sense of humor. <strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>What is your personal fashion philosophy?</strong></p>
<p>I like simple, clean-lined clothing with a twist, usually in black or neutrals. However, this Spring/Summer season, I plan on wearing bright jeans with white silk blouses, oversized bright wraps and my new Echo &#8220;Sundial&#8221; tote.</p>
<p><strong>What three items are essential to you during market week?</strong></p>
<p>Three essential items during market week are comfortable shoes, a lot of energy and of course, I’m always wearing a scarf!</p>

We have considered exhibiting in Las Vegas for many years and have watched<span id="more-3694"></span> the ATS Las Vegas show grow. We finally made a decision to participate in the August 2011 show and have absolutely no regrets. The show was a great success and opened many new accounts for us. We look forward to the upcoming February show and the continued growth of the Azaara collection with the assistance of the ATS team inLas Vegas,&#8221; said Mark McKenzie, Partner at Azaara, Inc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Josef Arzili, the designer behind Azaara, drew inspiration for his jewelry collection while traveling to exotic countries throughout the world. In the Fall of 2001, he created his first line of jewelry, the Vintage Crystal Collection, made from a blend of silver and copper, and accented with hand-cut Swarovski Crystal. The collection emulates rich, luxurious and opulent estate jewelry that rivals those worn by royalty.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Arzili soon followed the Crystal Collection with his signature Filigree Collection. Made from sterling silver, each piece is meticulously hand-dipped in 22k gold and accented with precious and semi-precious stones. The company Azaara was born from these two collections and soon grew to produce several other lines.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Azaara has been worn by dignitaries and celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Caroline Kennedy, Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Paula Abdul, Patti LaBelle, Salma Hayek, and Chaka Khan and has graced the pages of top magazines including InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Oprah, Brides, Real Simple, Marie Claire, Glamour, and Lucky.</p>

<p><strong>What is one of your key items for this upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 season?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Our Spring/Summer key items offer a combination of textured, recycled leather in deeply saturated colors, proprietary CoinKeeper hardware, and fluid, functional, on-trend design. Ginger #5302 clutch wallet features our unique Amazonia leather, which is meticulously crafted using recycled skins from poultry farms. Going “green” has never looked this good! Autumn 7514 tote takes organization to a new level with our patent -pending CoinKeeper hardware on the facade. Coins slip effortlessly from the exterior into an interior coin storage compartment.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>From where do you draw inspiration?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Inspiration comes from one of two places: First, it comes from tactile triggers like my Great Great Aunt Roz’s vintage shoe and glove collection, wellcrafted textiles, and old-world flea market finds. Second, inspiration comes from people. Observing the spirit of people via travels abroad and at home helps me to create each bag’s personality.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>How do you start the design process when creating a new collection?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Being true to our brand by maintaining consistent characteristics such as ease, functionality, versatility, organization and “wow” factor all are part of the design process. Staying on-trend but not trendy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What do you think will draw retailers to your collection this upcoming season?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Latico bags are “new classics” with a twist. In addition to overall creative design, saturated colors, unique leathers and linings, our Amazonia Collection featuring recycled leather and our patent-pending CoinKeeper Collection will be strong this season.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>If you could dress a celebrity who you feel fits your product image, who would it be and why?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">So many “fashionable” celebs wear mega brand handbags that are super recognizable in the public eye; this gets boring fast. Therefore, I prefer celebs with style that take risks, and who are effortlessly chic, talented and multi-faceted. Our bags fit the style of these women.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What is your personal fashion philosophy?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">My personal fashion philosophy consists of simple clothes &#8211; classic with a touch of funky, clean lines and a strong accessory; lots of layers &#8211; my friends tease me about this; and scarves for all seasons. I own more scarves than any other accessory… including bags, which is hard to believe!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What three items are essential to you during market week?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Three essential items during market week are our “Pilar” tote for all my paperwork and devices, lots of water and spearmint chapstick, which is so difficult to find!</p>

<p><strong>What is one of your key items for this upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 season?</strong></p>
<p>The YNEZ Crystal RocksStar group. I saw the SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Crystal Rocks product in this interesting multi-metallic color a few seasons ago and knew I wanted to use it somehow… so it just percolated around in my brain for a while and then it came to me &#8211; STARS. I like how it’s a fun look, but still totally glamorous. My favorite is absolutely the MINT &#8211; so fabulous with anything from a white sundress to a black slinky evening dress with piles of silver bangles. Unexpected but still totally versatile.</p>
<p><strong>From where do you draw inspiration?</strong></p>
<p>From everything. I am always noting color combinations or patterns whether it is the interior of a restaurant, clothes in a boutique window, an antique dish or nature… wherever. I am lucky to travel a lot &#8211; usually 3 or 4 overseas trips a year plus various trips in theU.S.so I get the opportunity to constantly see new things &#8211; or old things through a different cultural lens. This is invaluable to the constant creative cycle of 5 markets a year… the challenge is distilling all of the inspiration down into products our customers will love and want to add to their closets.</p>
<p><strong>How do you start the design process when creating a new collection?</strong></p>
<p>With pretty much the clichéd blank slate. I need to physically take down the images on the inspiration boards from the previous season and sit with the boards empty for a while and at the same time do the same thing with my brain. It’s sort of like letting my creative field sit fallow for some time before replanting with new ideas.</p>
<p><strong>What do you think will draw retailers to your collection this upcoming season?</strong></p>
<p>Well with the Spring/Summer collections the draw is color, but at the same time we like to keep a balance with trend colors and more neutral metallics so I think the versatility of each item will be the key. Our aim is for our styles to have longevity and the only way you can achieve that is if the bag is versatile enough to wear to multiple events and hopefully over multiple years, so we are always sensitive to how and how often our customer can wear a bag whether it is bright pink or black or gold with crystals.</p>
<p><strong>If you could dress a celebrity who you feel fits your product image, who would it be and why?</strong></p>
<p>I would say Iris Apfel or Rachel Zoe. I like how both women don’t just add their accessories as an afterthought to their clothes but really build outfits around key accessory items. I mean, Iris Apfel is an accessories goddess! At Inge Christopher we really believe in the power of the handbag and how it can make just the right statement or transform a look from so-so to fabulous.</p>
<p><strong>What is your personal fashion philosophy?</strong></p>
<p>It’s no accident that I work as an accessories designer. I like clothes to be a fairly neutral backdrop for accessories! So of course I wear a lot of black and grey. I have a pretty amazing collection of jewelry, scarves and handbags, collected over 20 plus years of traveling and that is where my fashion personality comes through. I love Mexican silver jewelry, old Czech wood bead clutches, super-pleated Venetian silk scarves… pretty much everything.</p>
<p><strong>What three items are essential to you during market week?</strong></p>
<p>I would say water! Hydration’s so important at a large show whether you are a buyer or an exhibitor because the days are long and there’s nothing worse than a headache at the end of the day. Also, layers, layers, layers because the heating and cooling is never predictable in these huge venues. And then there are comfortable, yet stylish shoes!</p>
