What’s your favorite part about conceptualizing a new design?
When it comes to conceptualizing a new design, the most challenging part and best satisfaction comes from the smile and approval of the buyers. While the most exciting and surprising part is seeing the final product after envisioning it in your mind and realizing how different yet interesting it has turned out!
How do you personally stay up-to-date with fashion?
Just like trends and fashion, my personal style keeps on evolving and molding into my identity. Staying up-to-date comes from all the travels, trade shows and of course the internet. Today’s fashion world is quite simple to keep up with; all you need to do is get online and everything you need to know is at your fingertips.
What do you think will draw retailers to your collection this upcoming season?
Being one of the few remaining fine quality leather goods manufacturers keeps us different. This has always been a great value to our company. Our new collections have unique shapes and leathers that have all been developed in our factory in Montreal; lightweight, long-lasting and statement pieces.
Who or what has been your greatest fashion influence?
As an artist, my greatest influences come from creating, drawing, painting and learning from all the great artists throughout time. When it comes to fashion designers, I have always been intrigued by Yves Saint Laurent. Above all though, as strange as it may sound, life is my greatest fashion influence of all.
